Ant and pharaoh ant controlLeave the trail where it is. It will lead us to the nest
If you wipe away a trail of ants and it comes back in the same spot, check off what you see and get a quick result. Our ant control, especially for pharaoh ants, relies on slow bait and follow-up, so getting rid of them happens in stages.

A line of ants climbing the wall? Tiny red ants in the kitchen that never seem to end?
Why is this happening in your home?
The tiny pharaoh ant is the hardest type in Egyptian homes. It nests in tile joints, behind baseboards, and in drain openings, and a single colony can have more than one queen. In compounds and gardens it travels from the plants all the way into the kitchen.
Why regular spraying does not solve it
When you spray the ants you can see, the colony senses danger and splits into smaller colonies elsewhere. So random spraying spreads the problem instead of solving it. That is exactly why people say, "I sprayed and the ants came back worse."
What exactly we do when we arrive
- 1Following the trail to reach the nest
- 2Slow-acting bait that the ants themselves carry to the queen
- 3Treating tile joints, baseboards, and drain openings
- 4Securing garden borders and planted areas in villas
- 5A follow-up after 10 days to confirm the colony is gone

What kind of ants do you have?
Not all ants are treated the same way. Look at the size and where they appear, and tell us on the call. If you find them in the bathroom more than the kitchen, mention that too, because they are sometimes looking for water and not food:
- Tiny yellow or pale red ants, which people usually call pharaoh ants: they live inside the apartment even on high floors and get into the narrowest cracks
- Larger black ants: they usually come from outside, from the balcony, the door threshold, or the garden soil
- Flying ants: this means the colony has grown and produced males and queens. If they are coming from inside the home, the nest is close
- A flying insect with a broad waist and wood dust nearby: probably not an ant, and it needs a termite inspection
Ant control with bait: why does it take time?
Workers take the bait to the nest and feed it to the rest of the colony and the queens, so it has to act slowly enough to get there. In the first days you may find more ants around the bait spot, and that is usually a good sign because they are carrying it away. A colony's needs also change, sometimes sugar and sometimes protein or fat. So if the ants are ignoring the bait at the 10-day follow-up, the technician may change it. If there is more than one nest in the apartment, it takes longer, and the technician will tell you that on the first visit. Patience here saves you another round of spraying that scatters the colony.
Vinegar, lemon, and cinnamon: why do the ants come back?
These remedies can move the trail away from one spot for a few hours, while the nest keeps working where it is. Some things do more harm than good:
- Vinegar and lemon: they wipe out the scent trail the ants follow, so the ants find another route
- Kerosene or gasoline in tile joints and floor drains: a real fire hazard
- Ant chalk or powder with no clear name: the ingredients are unknown, and it is dangerous if a child gets to it
- Wiping the trails around the bait after treatment: this cuts the route that carries the bait to the nest
Kids, pets, and furnishings
Bait goes down in small amounts in specific cracks and spots, away from surfaces people touch every day. If there is a baby, a crawling child, someone pregnant, anyone with asthma or allergies, or a cat that licks the floor at home, tell us before the visit so we can choose the spots, and ask your doctor if you have concerns.
- The treatment has no odor, and in most cases you will not need to leave home
- Do not wipe the bait spots or put disinfectant on them until the technician says so
- If a child or animal gets to a bait spot, call the doctor or vet right away, and call us so we can tell you what the material is
How to prepare the place
- Do not wipe the trails or spray on the day of the visit. The trail is our guide to the nest
- Note which room the ants appear in, and whether they increase in the morning or at night
- Keep sugar, honey, and cookies in sealed containers, and throw out any food ants have gotten into
- If you have a garden, keep the base of the fence and the planting beds easy to reach
Guarantee certificate
3
years
The guarantee covers the pests treated during the visit. If the same problem comes back within this period, we come and treat it.
Follow-up schedule
- 10 daysFollow-up visit to confirm the result
- 21 daysSecond follow-up to treat anything still open
- Every 2 monthsRegular follow-up for the length of the guarantee
Emergency service if any problem comes back during the guarantee
A guarantee with a schedulebeats a longer guarantee
Some companies promise 5 years and others promise 10. The question to ask is: what happens after the technician leaves?
Our answer is in writing. Three follow-up visits on set dates, plus emergency service if a problem appears at any time during the guarantee. The visit after 10 days is not a formality. That is when bed bug eggs hatch, and if it passes without treatment, the infestation comes back.
Questions about ants
Are pharaoh ants the same as termites?
Not necessarily, because in Egypt the same local name gets used for more than one insect. Some people mean the tiny ants that walk in lines toward food, and others mean the termites that eat wood. If you see a trail moving through the kitchen, those are ants. If you see wood dust or mud lines, send us a photo.
How long does it take to get rid of ants?
Usually anywhere from days to weeks, depending on the size of the colony and the number of nests. The bait needs time to reach every queen, so activity drops in stages and not all at once. That is why we come back after 10 days and after 21 days to see where there is still activity, then every two months for the length of the guarantee.
Can I spray pesticide until you arrive?
It is better not to. Pesticide kills the workers that are supposed to carry the bait, changes the trails we follow, and can scatter the ants to new places. If ants got into food, throw it out and wipe that shelf with soap and water, and leave the rest of the trail on the wall as it is.
Are ants harmful or just a nuisance?
They can be harmful, especially if they walk on food. Tiny ants cross floor drains and trash and then walk on food, so they can carry germs, which is why you should throw out any food they got into. If someone is bitten and has severe swelling or trouble breathing, go to the emergency room right away without waiting.
The ants come from the plants and the garden. Do you treat them there?
Yes, and in villas it is usually necessary. We follow the trail from the kitchen to the nest in the garden or by the fence. Keep an eye on the plants too: ants tend aphids for their sugary secretion, so if there are small insects stuck to the trees, tell the technician and they will be included in the inspection.
If the ants come back after treatment, does the guarantee cover it?
Yes. The 3-year guarantee covers the pests treated at your place, including ants. Our service runs 24 hours in all 27 governorates of Egypt, so call us and tell us where and when the ants appeared. Until we arrive, do not start spraying, so we can read the new trail and find where it comes from.
