Mosquito and midge controlWe look for the water they come from before we spray the ones flying
Spraying for mosquitoes alone buys you a few quiet nights and nothing more. Our mosquito control starts with a walk around every bit of water at your place, then treats the breeding sites and plants, and if you are on the coast we set up a regular program for midges.

Cannot sit on the balcony or in the garden at night? Waking up to bites and buzzing?
Why is this happening in your home?
Mosquitoes breed in any standing water: a plant saucer, an unused swimming pool, a clogged drain, or even water left on a garden chair cover. On the North Coast, midges increase sharply at certain times of day near bodies of water.
Why regular spraying does not solve it
Spraying kills the mosquitoes flying right now, and two days later a new generation hatches from the same standing water nobody noticed. Unless you shut down the breeding source, every spray is temporary.
What exactly we do when we arrive
- 1Finding sources of standing water across the whole property
- 2Treating breeding sites, not just flying insects
- 3Thermal fogging for outdoor areas and gardens
- 4Treating dense plants and shaded areas
- 5A regular program for coastal and open areas

The water nobody looks at
A mosquito does not need a pond. A bottle cap with a little water in it can be enough for her to lay eggs, and in hot weather the larvae usually become flying mosquitoes in about a week. So one small source can keep producing mosquitoes all summer while you spray the room. These are the places we walk through, whether it is an apartment or a villa:
- The AC drain hose and the patch it keeps dripping on
- Uncovered water tanks, and buckets and barrels on the roof
- The stairwell and basement, especially if drain water seeps in
- Old tires or junk holding water in the garage
- A plant vase with water in it, and a fountain basin that is not running
- A balcony drain pipe when it gets clogged with leaves
Midges are not small mosquitoes
On the North Coast and near the lakes, people say "midges" for an insect much smaller than a mosquito, one that bites and that you sometimes never manage to see. They usually get through regular window screens, and they increase around sunset and early in the day when the wind drops. They breed in mud and wet ground near water, so the work is different: we focus on the dense plants and damp ground around the chalet, and we run a regular program, because the result of one visit in an open area will not last. And honestly, nobody can close off the sea or the lake. What we can do is cut the numbers within your property enough to give you back your time outdoors. We reach all 27 governorates of Egypt, so your chalet will not be a problem.
Home remedies: what works and what does not
Before you spend money on something new, know what each option really does:
- Supermarket spray clears a room for an hour, and if the window is open it goes right back to how it was
- A blue bug zapper usually kills more of other insects than mosquitoes, because mosquitoes follow breath and sweat, not light
- There is no strong evidence that ultrasonic devices keep mosquitoes away
- A ceiling fan is a simple fix that does help, because mosquitoes are weak fliers and moving air throws them off
- A bed net and intact screens protect you while you sleep, but they do not reduce what is breeding outside
Kids, pets, and furnishings
Most of the work here is outdoors, in the garden, the plants, and the surrounding area, and sometimes indoors. Before we start, we tell you what to close, what to move away, and how long to wait. If there is a baby, someone pregnant, or anyone with asthma or allergies at home, tell us before the visit so we can choose the right method and waiting time, and ask your doctor if you have concerns.
- We tell you when to close the windows and bring in the laundry before we treat the garden and balcony
- If you have a fountain with fish or beehives, tell us before the visit, because the plan has to account for them
- If you have a cat or dog that spends time in the garden, the technician will tell you how long to keep them away, and ask your vet if you are worried
How to prepare the place
- Drain any standing water you can reach, and leave what you cannot empty for the technician
- Tell us where the mosquitoes are worst and when: at sunset, all night, or inside one particular room
- If you have a swimming pool or fountain, tell us its condition: running or not, and since when
- Leave the roof, garage, and basement open, or have their keys ready before the technician arrives
Guarantee certificate
3
years
The guarantee covers the pests treated during the visit. If the same problem comes back within this period, we come and treat it.
Follow-up schedule
- 10 daysFollow-up visit to confirm the result
- 21 daysSecond follow-up to treat anything still open
- Every 2 monthsRegular follow-up for the length of the guarantee
Emergency service if any problem comes back during the guarantee
A guarantee with a schedulebeats a longer guarantee
Some companies promise 5 years and others promise 10. The question to ask is: what happens after the technician leaves?
Our answer is in writing. Three follow-up visits on set dates, plus emergency service if a problem appears at any time during the guarantee. The visit after 10 days is not a formality. That is when bed bug eggs hatch, and if it passes without treatment, the infestation comes back.
Questions about mosquitoes
How long does mosquito spraying last?
There is no single number that fits every home, and be careful with anyone who gives you a fixed one. If the water source is closed off, the result lasts much longer. If there is farmland or a canal next to you, mosquitoes can reach you from outside your property, which is why we follow up after 10 days and after 21 days, then every two months.
Are mosquitoes and midges the same thing?
No. Midges are smaller, breed in mud and wet ground, and show up more near the sea and lakes. If you have both, tell us, because we adjust the program to your location and to when each type appears.
Why do mosquitoes bite me in particular?
Because mosquitoes are drawn to breath, body heat, and the smell of sweat, and people differ in these. Only the female bites, to develop her eggs. So one person at home can get bitten while another does not. That does not prove there are few mosquitoes, and it has nothing to do with the "sweet blood" people talk about.
Why are there still mosquitoes in winter?
Because they find warmth and water all year in places like basements, stairwells, and drain rooms. Cold reduces their activity outdoors, but it does not end it. If you see mosquitoes in December, start looking from the bottom of the building before searching the room, and tell the technician if the basement has water in it.
Do mosquitoes spread disease?
They can. Mosquitoes are known worldwide for spreading disease, and the risk varies by place and time. A normal bite is usually just itchy and goes away. But if you get a fever, a severe headache, a rash, or bad joint pain after being bitten, see a doctor and say that you were bitten.
Does a swimming pool bring mosquitoes?
Not usually if it runs with a filter and regular treatment, but a stagnant pool can be the biggest source at a villa. If you close it for winter, do not leave water collecting on the cover. Tell the technician its condition before the visit so we can start from the right source.
