The small German cockroach lives inside kitchen units and behind the fridge and stove, where it is warm and damp. The large American cockroach comes up through drain pipes and floor drains, especially in older buildings. What you see walking around is a small part of what is really there.
Why regular spraying does not solve it
Cockroaches avoid sprayed surfaces and retreat deeper into hiding. Worse, they carry disease and contaminate food without you noticing. Simply walking across a surface is enough.

Small or large? The first question in cockroach control
You can tell them apart by eye the first time, and that saves a lot of time on the call:
- Small: about 1.5 cm, light brown, with two dark stripes on its back behind the head. It breeds inside the apartment all year
- Large: can exceed 3 cm, reddish brown and shiny. It shows up mostly in hot weather and gets in through drains and ventilation shafts
- If you see both, we need one plan for the kitchen and another for the drains
- If you see very small ones with no wings, the infestation is breeding in your home right now. It is not a visitor passing through
Spray or gel? Each one has its place
Many people ask for cockroach spraying by name, but for the small type in particular, gel is usually more useful. It goes on in small dots where cockroaches pass. They eat it and go back to their hiding place, where the others can be affected through their droppings. Spraying has its place too, at drains and entry points, and in heavy infestations the technician may use both in a planned order and explain why. The trouble starts when pesticide gets sprayed on or next to the gel, because cockroaches may then avoid the whole area. So do not open a can of supermarket pesticide before or after the visit without asking the technician.
Things in your kitchen that feed cockroaches without you noticing
Cleaning alone will not solve an established infestation, but these things affect how fast you get results and whether they last:
- Grocery boxes on top of the cabinet. Their crevices make a ready hiding place, and small cockroaches can come in with them from outside
- A dripping faucet or a sink left wet all night, because cockroaches live on water more than on food
- Grease built up behind the stove and under the fridge
- A trash bag left open until morning
- The floor drain in an unused bathroom. The water in the trap dries out, and that opens a path from the drain
Kids, pets, and furnishings
A kitchen has food and dishes in it, so we tell you what to move and where before we start. If there is a baby, someone pregnant, or anyone with asthma or allergies at home, let us know before the visit so we can adjust the method and waiting time, and ask your doctor if you have concerns. Also, cockroach droppings themselves can irritate asthma and allergies in some people.

- Put uncovered food and the spices in the lower cabinet into closed containers
- Do not wash the cabinets with strong disinfectant on the day of the visit. The smell can keep cockroaches away from the gel
- Clear the countertop and leave room for us to reach behind the fridge and stove
- Tell the technician where and when you saw the cockroach, whether it was small or large, and what you have tried before

Our answer is in writing. Three follow-up visits on set dates, plus emergency service if a problem appears at any time during the guarantee. The visit after 10 days is not a formality. That is when bed bug eggs hatch, and if it passes without treatment, the infestation comes back.
Questions about cockroaches
Why do I see more cockroaches after treatment?
That is usually normal in the first few days. Treatment draws cockroaches out of hiding, so you see them walking or dead in places you did not see them before. If you still see many small ones after several weeks, tell us. That is exactly what the 10-day and 21-day visits are for.
Can one visit get rid of cockroaches?
Usually not if the infestation is old. The female of the small type carries her egg case until shortly before it hatches, and the case holds dozens of eggs in a shell that protects them from treatment materials. So a new generation can appear after the visit, and someone has to come back to deal with it.
What should I ask a cockroach control company before booking?
Ask 3 things: where they will inspect, how they will tell the small type from the large one, and when they will come back. If the answer is a quick spray in the kitchen and nothing else, that is not enough. Our inspection starts inside the units, we follow up after 10 days and after 21 days, and our service runs 24 hours in all 27 governorates of Egypt.
I clean every day. Why do I have cockroaches?
Because a cockroach does not need a dirty home to get in. It can arrive in a box or a used appliance, or come from a neighboring apartment through the pipes. A crumb behind the fridge and a drop of water are enough for it. Cleaning helps the treatment, but it does not stop an infestation that has started.
The cockroaches come from the ventilation shaft or the neighbors. Will treatment help?
It will help inside your apartment, but the route itself has to be dealt with too. We treat the drains and entry points in your home, and if your neighbors have them, it is best to agree to treat at the same time. If cockroaches come back during the 3-year guarantee, call us and we will come back to find where they are coming from.
When can I use the kitchen after treatment?
In most cases the same day, after the waiting time the technician gives you, which depends on the method used. Wash any dishes that were left out before using them, and wipe food surfaces the way the technician tells you. Leave the spots with gel as they are, and if you do not remember where they are, ask the technician to show you.
